Leslie J. Hammond, M.S., CCC-SLP/Director
I am the owner and director of Therapy Zone, llc. I am ASHA Certified. I not only operate Therapy Zone but continue to provide therapy to many of our clients. Therapy Zone has grown and on March 1, 2012 we celebrated our 13th year. Thank God for making my dreams come true. Since 1988, when I first realized what I wanted to do with my life, I have been thinking, praying and planning for a clinic to serve the community in which I live. I graduated in 1992 with my Bachelor of Arts from Harding University and then went on to receive my Master of Science from the University of Central AR in 1996. I have worked with a variety of settings: public schools, rehab facilities, nursing homes, preschools, head starts, and now private practice.
Communication is part of everyone's daily life. Whether written or spoken, each person has the ability to communicate. I love what I do and love working with children and adults. Helping someone discover or improve their world through communication makes me a better person. Update 2012: Leslie has been chosen to participate in American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) 2012 Leadership Development in Healthcare. We are so proud of how active she is in booth our state and national professional organization. The areas of Speech, Occupational, and Physical Therapy are ever growing fields, the more knowledge one has the more they can share with others.
